As I sit at my desk looking out over the landscape at the beach, this latest storm seems to be passing us by with just a glance- yeah!
This has been an unusual winter at the beach, but we are feeling the thaw- the signs of snow is almost gone, the sun shines bright on days, and the dream of being on the beach has really begun. Typically the dream begins somewhere in February when vacationers typically look to the future days of Spring and Summer to soothe their soul as well as their toes(in the warm sand). This is the true beginning of our real estate market and it has been hampered a few weeks with the wrath of winter this year.
But this will not last! We will see those pent up by the weather start to emerge and look for that second home or resort property to purchase and make that dream come alive. And, with the rates remaining low, prices adjusted in the market, it is the best it has been in years!
If you wish to buy, this is still the best time before the rental market heats up and it is difficult to visit properties on the market. If you are considering selling, don't miss the beginning of the buying season.
